Nestled in the heart of Herne Bay, we’re a haven for readers, writers, families and businesses. Here, we host book clubs, author events and more — often with the support of our resident pianist. Our dedicated event space has been used for everything from regular writing workshops to pudding clubs, and our open mic nights have been instant sellouts.
If you're visiting Herne Bay, we're not only a ten-minute walk from the train station, but we're also a three-minute walk from the seafront! The perfect spot for a bookish browse. You can also sit and read in our garden or outside the front of our shop.
If you buy anything from our bookshop, you can get 10% off coffee and cakes at Garage Coffee (just across the road from us). And vice-versa!
Local musician and artist, Tim Jenkins, is renowned for creating our brilliant windowfronts, but he also plays the piano during events, open evenings and events.
