An family friendly museum that tells the story of a busy WW2 airfield that was used by the RAF, USAAF and Belgian Air Force and played an important part in D-day and the Airwar over Europe. A warm, friendly welcome awaits with lots of interesting and interactive exhibits that tell the story of the people at the airfield from our WW2 Mustang cockpit, which you can sit in to our charming & informative Home Guard Display. You can also kick back and relax in the Flying Tractor cafe and enjoy a wonderful range of locally sourced cakes and drinks. Whilst kids can enjoy a treasure hunt, dressing up area and our Mustang Flight Simulator.

Get up close and see our amazing P-51 Mustang fighter! An aeroplane that changed the airwar over Europe in WW2. Kids can climb into a Mustang cockpit and fly our flight simulator.
Immerse yourself in the history of the Home Front
Come and see our fantastic home front exhibition that tells the story of evacuees, air raid wardens and the home guard. Get up close with the exhibits and walk back in time to the 1940's.
Try our amazing Flying Tractor Cafe
Whether it's good quality coffee, freshly made cakes or mouth watering cream teas, the Flying Tractor Cafe has it all.

The museum opens for the 2025 season on Sunday 6th April. It will be open every Sunday and Wednesday from 10.30am to 4pm until Remembrance Sunday.
