About Adopt-a-Bear Experience
Millions of teddies across the UK are looking for new homes, after being outgrown or unwanted by their previous owners. This is leaving too many teddies hidden away in storage or worse, ending up in landfill. At Thrifthood we are here to change that. We know these bears have an abbudance of love to give so it is our mission to freshen them up, find them all new homes, and encourage everyone to adopt, not shop when it comes to our beloved bears.
At Thrifthood’s Adopt-a-Bear experience, we will guide you through the teddy rehoming journey. You will start by choosing your one of a kind bear from our extensive collection, naming your teddy and writing their story because many of our bears have forgotten their names and where they came from.
After being hidden away in storage, our teddies need help getting their sparkle back. Your bear will realise how special they are after their personalised pampering session: you will add your favourite scent and create a personalised accessory for your bear - a party hat, cape or matching friendship bracelets.
Next up is creating a bed for your teddy, so it feels comfortable and safe travelling to its new home. The final step of your rehoming journey, before you and your bear can continue making lots of new memories, is making it official by signing their adoption papers.
We will be accepting walk-ins for our Adopt-a-Bear experience but we highly recommend securing your slot and booking a ticket in advance. The cost of the ticket to secure your slot (£5) is redeemable on the day against the price of the Adopt-a-Bear experience (£30).
