The Foundling Museum

Pushchairs and prams can be taken through the galleries via the lift. Please note there is limited space to leave them at reception and they must be folded.

All assistance dogs are welcome at the Museum.

A water bowl is available on request, please ask at reception if you would like to use it.

There is a park in front of the Museum should your dog need to use the bathroom.

Unfortunately in order to protect the collection, we can only allow assistance dogs in the Museum. Even the best-behaved pets can have accidents.

The Foundling Museum does not have a café on the premises. However, we do have a deal with various local cafés and restaurants where a discount can be used on food and drink purchases. Contact us to speak to a member of the reception team during your visit to find out more.

During fine weather picnics can be taken to Brunswick Square opposite the Museum. Families can also visit Coram’s Fields – a 5-minute walk away – where there is a café and space to have a picnic.

Kindly note that consuming food or drink in the museum is not permitted.

We have one non-motorised wheelchair available to borrow.

To reserve the wheelchair please call our Visitor Engagement Manager on 020 7841 3600 or email tabitha@foundlingmusuem.org.uk. If possible please give us 1 week’s notice.

Unfortunately we cannot provide assistance for using the wheelchair. Should you need assistance we recommend bringing a friend with you who will be admitted free of charge.

We do permit mobility scooters, but please note the width restrictions of the lift

Although not compulsory, we recommend booking your entry ticket in advance via our website in order to avoid disappointment.
