Attraction Information
The Foundling Museum is a one-of-a-kind experience for families to learn about the UK's first children's charity, the Foundling Hospital, and the lives of the children who grew up there.
While this is sensitive material the team make sure it’s an engaging and most importantly, a fun day out! Kids can dress up as characters from the Foundling Hospital’s history or follow creative activity trails through the collections. The exhibits chart the museum way back to its beginning as the UK’s first children’s charity with artworks, objects and archival documents.
Particularly amazing to see are the tokens left behind by the mothers who gave up their children to the care of the Hospital, as well as the testimonies from former pupils. All these special items, as well as family workshops, will give you the chance to explore new subjects with your kids.
