Attraction Information
Platform 9 and 3/4 can of course be found in King's Cross Station, and as all us Harry Potter fans know is the departure point in the books and films for the Hogwarts Express! This is a visit for particular Potter-heads only, as it's essentially a photo opportunity with no other features offered: muggles can pay to pose with a luggage trolley partially entering the magic wall, and are provided with relevant scarf and glasses for it, plus the photo afterwards. We've heard that queues for this service are often in excess of an hour long, however, so you really may not want to let the kids set their hearts on it.
Whether you do or don't do the photo be sure to go into the terrific Harry Potter Shop right next door, which is everything you'd want from such a thing: splendidly designed and atmospherically decorated offering wands, apparel, wizarding artefacts, books and artwork plus loads more besides including Chocolate Frogs and Every Flavour Beans.
