Attraction Information
Abbey Park is an ideal place for a family day out, with plenty to keep people of all ages amused, plus it is free to visit. The setting includes a natural terrace with excellent views over the river Avon from the higher levels.
There are plenty of open grassy areas, a lily pool, and lots of lovely trees and plants to enjoy. The park also has plenty of seating and picnic benches to use, plus a variety of artwork to appreciate, and historic features that include a bell tower and clarion.
Kids will love the play area, which includes a trampoline, a basket swing, an underground bank slide, a huge sand play area, climbing units and a wide slide. During the summer months, there are also water play fountains to enjoy, which provide splashtastic fun for the whole family, with a variety of fountains and sprays that are activated by pressure pads.
The park also holds a variety of events throughout the year, including summer holiday activities, a hot air balloon festival, a river festival and a fishing festival! Brass bands sometimes play in the bandstand too.
