Attraction Information
At Croome, you can step into what remains of a secret wartime air base, now a modern Visitor Centre, find Croome Court and see it being repaired, or simply go for a wonderful walk with the kids (and just pay for entry to the Park).
The Visitor Centre, formerly RAF Defford's sick quarters, will sweep you back to the 1940s, as you discover the fascinating details of this secret airbase where thousands of people lived and worked covertly!
The garden has been largely restored to its eighteenth century beauty, with intriguing statues, follies, bridges, and classical temples are hidden around every corner of the garden, especially through the shrubberies around the lakeside. There are miles of different walks to enjoy, but if you would prefer a nice brisk walk, try the route through the Home Shrubbery to the Rotunda, an enchanting ‘garden room' that is surrounded by giant Cedars.
