Attraction Information
Hyde Park is one of London's finest landscapes and covers over 350 acres within which are numerous family suitable entertainments!
The 110 yard Serpentine Lido and its accompanying paddling pool are great for children and families and is accessible for cooling down from May to September. You are also welcome to sit and refresh your toes in the Royal Diana Memorial Fountain! It should be noted that the Joy Of Life and the Boy And Dolphin fountains are look at only, no paddling! Rowing and pedal boats are available to hire on the Serpentine or if you're not up for the exercise you can also take a ride on the UK's first Solarshuttle, powered only by the sun, no legwork required!
The Hyde Park Tennis and Sports Centre has tennis, lawn bowls and putting facilities available to hire (best arranged in advance) plus a family friendly cafe. The Royal Parks provide fantastic 'green' routes in London, taking cyclists away from traffic and through some of the most attractive areas of the capital with some specially designated cycle routes within the Parks nice and safe for young ones.
Hyde Park also has a specialist horse riding arena, or manege, as well as two designated routes for horse riding (North Ride and South Ride).
It's worth noting that there is a senior playground which under 15s are actually not meant to use. The Diana Memorial Gardens playground is a kids' one and you can find it adjacent in Kensington Gardens!
Wow: enough for anybody and everybody!
