About Twist Museum

Looking for a fun, unique and totally different day out in London? Head to Twist Museum, where nothing is quite as it seems and every visit is full of surprises!

Located right on Oxford Street, Twist Museum is London’s original home of illusions, offering an immersive, interactive experience designed to challenge the way you see the world. With over 80 mind-bending exhibits, this is far more than a traditional museum. Instead of simply looking at displays, visitors are encouraged to step inside, interact, explore and become part of the illusions themselves.

As you make your way through the museum, you’ll encounter a wide range of optical illusions, immersive rooms and sensory installations that play with colour, light, sound and perspective. Watch as your size appears to change in the famous Ames Room, see your shadow split into different colours, and discover how easily your brain can be tricked. Every exhibit is designed to surprise, delight and spark curiosity, making it an experience that both kids and adults will love.

80+ Interactive Illusions

Explore over 80 mind-bending exhibits that challenge how you see the world. From optical illusions and immersive rooms to sensory installations, every exhibit is designed to be hands-on, encouraging visitors to step inside and become part of the experience. Rather than simply observing, you’ll interact, experiment and discover how your brain interprets colour, light and perspective in surprising ways.

Unforgettable Photo Opportunities

Capture incredible, perspective-defying photos throughout the museum. Whether you’re appearing to shrink and grow, walking through impossible spaces or creating mind-boggling effects, every room offers a unique backdrop for fun and shareable moments. It’s the perfect place to create memorable photos with family and friends that you won’t find anywhere else in London.

Fun Meets Learning for the Whole Family

Twist Museum blends entertainment with education, making it both fun and thought-provoking. Developed in collaboration with artists and neuroscientists, the exhibits explore how our brains process the world around us. Visitors of all ages can enjoy the playful experience while gaining a deeper understanding of perception, making it an ideal activity for curious minds.
