Emberton Country Park
Emberton, BuckinghamshireAbout Emberton Country Park
Emberton Country Park is close to the village of Emberton and the market town of Olney. The park features 3 different children's areas, including a rather unique Quarry Experience! This fun attraction develops co-ordination and team work through play and should keep your little ones and not so little ones entertained whilst you enjoy the views across the lake or sort the picnic out!
The park opened in 1965. The area was originally a gravel works, but has now been transformed into an attractive parkland setting covering 200 acres which is welcoming to visitors and encourages peace and relaxation.
This is a country park with an abundance of wildlife for all to enjoy but it's well worth stocking the kit bag with a few extra things to help keep the kids busy. Kite flying is popular here, as are frisbees, bats and balls and footie. There is easy access from J14 of the M1 and close by is Milton Keynes so this can be a nice little countryside stop to break up a day's city adventuring.
