Attraction Information
Harrold Odell Country Park is a former gravel pit turned nature reserve and a good venue for families to explore. There are small play areas at each end and opportunities to view plants and animals as you stroll round so it's ideal territory for a family exploration and some down time or games. There's a picnic area overlooking the lake which is a great patch to mark out your HQ for the day. There is an ice cream van available during summer afternoons too!
Our website is available through the link below and has downloadable worksheets and maps to bring with you on your trip! Things like frisbees, bats and balls, kites and other outdoor games are welcome but of course one must be considerate of the other families around, please.
We have family events like Easter Egg Hunts and The Big Draw at times through the year. These are advertised via the website and in the park notice boards. Guided nature walks or pond dipping can be booked at £2 per head between April and September.
Children aged 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Fishing is not permitted between March 14th and June 16th annually. The main paths are hard surfaced and buggy/wheelchair friendly. Wellies, sturdy footwear and warm clothes are recommended in poor weather.
