Fancy an escape to nature? Enjoy a great family day out in the wild at WWT Martin Mere any time of the year! From getting close to the wetland wildlife to all sorts of awesome activities, there’s plenty to do for all the family.
Looking for an adventure? From thrilling zip wires to epic treetops, the huge outdoor adventure playground is perfect for little explorers from the age of 3. Don’t forget to have a go at pond dipping to see what you can find! There’s a fantastic day ahead of you at Martin Mere Wetland Centre. Enjoy splashing, dipping, playing, feeding, paddling and getting up-close-and-personal to some of nature’s most wonderful wildlife. This wetland centre has up to 800 acres of adventure which is home to thousands of rare birds, a cheeky family of otters, an all-star cast of pretty pink flamingos and a group of white storks to mention a few!
For those wanting adventure, grab a paddle and take to the water to head off on an exciting canoe safari from April - September, where’ll come face to beak with all sorts of exciting animals. Keep your eyes peeled for moorhens, mallards, fish, and water voles, and if you’re especially lucky you may catch a glimpse of the beautiful kingfishers! Psst, there's a chance to go pond dipping too - how magical!
Go on a wild walk adventure, build a den, balance on the stepping stones or simply have fun in our water play and scream down the zip wire.

Get up close to wetland stars, like flamingos and otters.
Get up close and feed our friendly bunch of birds. Pick up a bag of bird seed for £1.50 and venture around our wetlands to hand feed our swans, geese, and ducks.
We’ve also got fabulous flamingos, wonderful white storks, incredible Inca terns, and charming common cranes. There are over 70 wetland species from across the globe that you can see all year round. And we can’t forget our pair of playful otters!

Want to take your visit further? Explore our waters with our relaxing guided boat tour for £3.50 per seat, or set sail on your own adventure with our canoes for £12 per canoe (up to 3 people). See if you can find hidden treasures like water voles or the elusive kingfisher.
