Model Railway Village
Southport, MerseysideAbout Model Railway Village
Since 1996 Southport Model Railway village has been attracting model train enthusiasts from all over the world. This spectacular Model Village consists of beautiful vistas and fabulous panoramic views of the miniature landscape and Model Trains.
Based upon typical southwest Lancashire architecture the layout consists of a country scene, village and town. Movement is generated in the Model Village by one of the largest 45mm garden railways in the UK. With six LGB trains running on 500 metres of track.
It is not unusual for children to want to spend all day with their parents or grand-parents at the Model Railway Village, just watching or following their favourite model train whilst it meanders around the 1.5 acres of beautiful miniature landscape and doing the Family Quiz.
It is also not unusual for children to return the next day with another member of the family or continuously visit each week from spring through to the end of the season, equally just as enthusiastic as on their first day!
With plenty of bench recesses parents can keep a close eye on their children whilst relaxing having a picnic or just unwinding.
