Attraction Information
Tullie House Museum and Art Gallery has something for everyone! During the holidays and at selected weekends, we provide drop-in sessions based on themes from our permanent collection or temporary exhibitions. Our galleries are also jam-packed with interesting information and activities.
Why not explore our Roman Frontier gallery where you can use four interactive computers to find out who you might have been in Roman Carlisle? You can also dress up as a Roman and guess some popular Roman foods using your nose!
In our Border Galleries, you can crawl through a badger sett, try and remove a sword from a stone and even put your family in our stocks! If we manage to tire you out with all of the activities that are available, you can re-charge your batteries with our tasty children's menu in our restaurant.
You are also welcome to take a stroll outside in our beautiful garden. Our garden is an attractive open space designed with a Jacobean style theme. There are decorative box edged curved beds with a good range of planting surrounding the central herb garden. It is divided into four quarters with a sundial as a focal point in the centre.
