Attraction Information
Carlisle Cathedral is a small but beautiful 900-year-old building, full of history, stained glass and... spy tours!
Begin by taking a peek at the stained glass windows, as well as a ceiling full of stars! The open community feel means that people from any faith, or even no faith, can enjoy the splendour of their surroundings - kids in particular can marvel at how something like this was ever made by human hands.
There are information boards, and an archaeology exhibit and Treasury Collection. For families though spy tours in and outside of the Cathedral are the highlight, with an activity trail and all sorts of secret discoveries. Super spies who complete the mission will get a sticker and prize with help from the friendly volunteers - just make sure to call ahead to avoid disappointment.
