About White Dragon Activity Centre
If you’re looking for an experience or party with a difference, look no further than White Dragon Activity Centre! Archery, axe throwing, airgun shooting, survival skills, Nerf battles and much more are available. The centre is set in five glorious acres of North Essex meadows and woodland, with an amazing castle-themed hall used for indoor parties and activities. The venue is truly beautiful and very different to any other activity centre you'll ever visit - the business owner, Mark, has put great care and attention into the place. While you're enjoying your chosen activity, look around and you'll spot goblins in the tree branches, dragons in the eaves of the indoor archery range, and fairies in the cosy heated 'snug' room which parents love to relax in! Knowledgeable, friendly coaches emphasise inclusivity, confidence, safety and fun. All activities are suitable for both adults and children, with equipment and coaching tailored to your group, and coaches create a light-hearted atmosphere so everyone can relax. Alongside its regular experiences and courses, White Dragon also runs special season events, including school holiday activity camps, one-off courses in map-reading and survival, and quirky seasonal activities. It's open throughout the year, except for Christmas Day, and offers both evening and daytime activities. There's also an archery and airgun club which meet regularly at the centre, which welcome new members aged 10+. White Dragon Activity Centre is easy to reach by road or by rail, with Bures train station just five minutes' walk away.

We have our own archery club.
If you find that you have loved any of our archery experiences you can move on to one of our 10 week longbow training courses that will give you an deeper understanding of this serene and inclusive sport then at the end of that you can join our club of like minded archers who are all in it for the fun of the sport.

No matter what the Briitsh weather throws our way we always have activities on that you can enjoy in comfort. Archery around the woods on a nice day is awesome but if it's raining then why not book some indoor archery instead?

Although these are our standard opening hours there may be time when there are no activities available to book due to us being away at a festival or having a school party in or a corporate day so please look at other days.

For Airsoft, indoor parties or indoor archery, or for a longbow course/home ed lesson during winter, follow the signs for our indoor activity car park (what3words address: ///remarried.fitter.reputable). There’s lots of parking in the yard through the gate and you’ll see our building with a big White Dragon sign on it. If you come up from Bures direction, please don’t follow the signs that lead to the outdoor activity car park, as it’s quite a long walk from our indoor venue! If you’re coming for outdoor archery, an outdoor party, bushcraft, or for a longbow course/home ed session during summer, follow the signs for our outdoor activity car park (what3words address: ///scar.surfacing.foil) From Colne Road follow an A-board on it saying ‘White Dragon outdoor activity parking’. Take the turning and head down the country lane. Be careful if you’re driving – the surface can be a bit bumpy! Follow our black and white signs until they direct you to turn left. You’ll see the car parking area, please stop here while you wait for your coach to arrive. Please don’t drive down the footpath, past the sign that says ‘No vehicles past this point’.
