Telly fans are in for a treat! Your mission, if you choose to accept, is to save civilisation as we know it on The Doctor Who Experience. The much-loved TV show is filmed in Cardiff so you can experience all the behind-the-scenes best bits and watch as little faces light up. It’s located down by the bay alongside restaurants, bars and the iconic Millennium Centre. Then once you’re done, simply hop back on the bus!
Other must-sees: Cardiff Castle is a 2,000 year old historic landmark filled with wartime tunnels, Roman architecture and an Animal Trail to keep kids busy. The Mermaid Quay is relatively new to the city but boasts the Techniquest Science Exhibition Centre which is great fun and feeds curious minds. Finally, the National Museum of Wales leads you through Wales’ history for free.
