The Stirling Smith Art Gallery and Museum
is a museum telling the story of Stirling including models of people at work and play and lots of interesting artefacts. There are changing exhibitions too.
Ailies Garden makes this museum more than just an indoor destination though. It is a half acre site within the two acre museum grounds which has been developed as a 24 hour gallery. In it you will find a Willow garden, Butterfly border, Woodland area, with habitat boosters, Upland area, Kitchen demonstration garden; Orchard area; Wetland area; Compost demonstration area; Storytelling area; Herb garden with chess/draughts board; Picnic areas; and Play areas complete with giant xylophone, pipes, labyrinth and willow tunnel.
A cafe might tempt you to stay for a bite to eat too.
