The thrilling new Battle of Bannockburn experience brings history to life (and even reinvention!) using cutting edge 3D technology, audio visual exhibits and strategic Battle Games where you fight the battle! You and yours can learn all about this crucial event in Scottish history and experience the nuances of medieval combat like never before!
Take command of the knights and soldiers who battled it out in 1314 and pit your wits against your fellow visitors on the super modern virtual battlefield. An experience as authentic as it is breathtaking! The Battle Game and The Battle Show are booked separately and must be pre-booked!
As a nice little bonus the pleasing landscaping and parkland around and about the centre allows visitors to appreciate the original battleground to some extent with restored commemorative monuments adding to the atmosphere, including the iconic statue of a shimmering bronze Robert the Bruce! It's a good place for quiet discussions with the kids about the things they've learned inside and to let them calm down after the frenzy of battle!
