About Kirky Picture Palace

After a lengthy consultation with the community of Kirky in 2018, we discovered that something the community wanted was a cinema, “the pictures” back in Kirky. So we listened, rallied up a team of volunteers and a cinema coordinator and brought the pictures to Kirky.

We work out of the Kirkintilloch Town Hall, which is a landmark building in the heart of Kirky and means a lot to the community. The hall boast a beautiful modern decorated interior yet still maintaining its historic integrity.

The cinema can host 200 guests at each event, with a huge 18ft screen to view our movies on.

We offer hire of our equipment and team to bring the cinema and licence to you to show at your event/venue.

We are a community Cinema

We are passionate about cinema and our volunteers and Cinema Coordinator are all residents of the community.

We have been established for 4 years

This year we celebrated our fourth birthday of bringing the “pictures” back to Kirky and East Dunbartonshire as a whole
