Meet more than 50 rescued horses, ponies, donkeys and mules nose-to-nose at Redwings Horse Sanctuary Aylsham.

Residents include real-life Black Beauty Maya and a whole troop of miniature Shetlands known as the Gangsters who can't wait to say hello!

Hot drinks and tasty snacks are available from the Nosebag Café, there’s a play area for young children to explore and a wide range of souvenirs to browse in the on-site gift shop.

Redwings Aylsham offers a schedule of family activities during the school holidays. Entry and parking are free, and dogs on leads are welcome!

Toilets

A unisex accessible toilet, which is suitable for a wheelchair, is available on the ground floor of the visitor centre.

Pets allowed

Dogs on leads are welcome. 

Guest suitability

All the buildings are on ground level and can be accessed by sloping concrete paths. The paddock walkways are very wide, and some are grassy and others are hardcore track. There are nature walks around the site too, but these can become boggy in wet weather.

Parking facilities

Parking is free, and disabled parking spaces are available.

Public transport

Several buses stop within half a mile of the centre from surrounding towns, including Cromer, Sheringham, Wroxham and Norwich. The closest railway station is located at North Walsham, approximately 8.5 miles away. A local taxi can be pre-booked to drive you from the station to the visitor centre.

Baby food facilities

There is a baby food/milk warming facility at the attraction.

The Nosebag Cafe provides a selection of savoury snacks and sweet treats, plus a wide range of hot and cold drinks. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options are available.
