This small family-friendly beach is only 300 metres long. You're unlikely to be surprised by huge dips as you walk into the sea. The water is shallow, which makes it great for little paddling adventurers.
A lazy day at the beach is a firm family favourite - just unwind and enjoy the sun to the sound of kids playing and waves washing on the shore with a quiet “Woosh”. Want more fun? From Pencil Beach you can take a quick walk to Pencil Monument, which commemorates the Battle of Largs in 1263. So, go ahead and bring some history into your day out!
