Eglinton Country Park
Irvine, Ayrshire and ArranAbout Eglinton Country Park
Eglinton Country Park gives you the space and freedom to enjoy a wide range of pursuits. There are tranquil country pursuits, walking, horse riding, fishing on the lochside or simply watching the world go by with a picnic. Or there's a full programme of organized events run by their Countryside Rangers right through the year.
Within the park are 3 adventure playground areas. Close to the visitor centre is a contained play area for the under 8s with plenty of seating and picnic tables to allow parents to watch their children in comfort.
Plus an inclusive play facility was officially opened at Eglinton Country Park in 2011 and offers state of the art provision for disabled children's play. Hooray! Out towards the castle lawn is a long established play area for mixed ages with a superb range of physical play equipment too.
There's also a seasonal visitor centre with gift shop and tea room and that open April through September.
