The McLean Museum and Art Gallery is a great place to bring the children. See the Indian Tiger and the Sloth Bear and marvel at their size. There are lots of unusual items on show from all round the world, like our wonderful Japanese collection which includes Samurai swords and armour.
There are also exciting items from Ancient Egypt on show like the mummy cartonnage and coffin of a woman called An Ankh Rat. See models of some of the ships that have been built in Inverclyde, from tea clippers to the famous Comet steamship of 1812. Have fun with our quiz sheets and enjoy making things at our art activities table.
