Shoreditch, Greater LondonAbout Museum of Shakespeare
Any Shakespeare lovers here? Whether you sit back and relax at the theatre, engage in Shakespearean role plays or simply visit a museum dedicated to one of the most famous playwrights in history. Looking for that attraction that redefines Shakespeare - well you're in luck. In 2024, there will be a new Museum of Shakespeare opening in London 2024!
About The Attraction
What we know so far is that it'll be opening in Shoreditch in April 2024. The attraction aims to transport guests into the 16th century for a day in the life of the great William Shakespeare. On the 450-year-old archaeological remains of The Curtain Playhouse, you'll follow history and interact with a whole host of interactive experiences that will leave you with the words of the English playwright.
You'll be able to walk on the very stage where theatre productions of his most famous plays debuted. For example, Henry V! With surreal projections behind the stage through artificial intelligence and cutting-edge and innovative technology guests can also be put into the plays written by the man himself. It'll be a revolutionary theatre experience that will be truly unforgettable.
Not only that, but you'll also be able to admire original objects from the Elizabethan era on display, as well as enjoy immersive and multi-sensory experiences as you wind around the Museum of Shakespeare.
You can even get straight into the action and enjoy a game of fencing as part of your experience, as demonstrated in Hamlet. Before transport 3 metres underground to the year 1598 where you'll hear recollections of Shakespeare's life. With sights, smells and sound effects, you'll discover the very people that led to the creation of his plays.
We'll keep you up to date!
