Mayfield Play Yard

About Mayfield Play Yard

Manchester, are you ready for your new 2022 attraction, The Mayfield Play Yard? In Autumn 2022, the 1,400 square foot park will be the biggest park in the city! The park is situated right next to the River Medlock and Picadily station too - how grand!

This urban playground will have an 18 metre partly transparent slide that stretches over the newly restored River Medlock! Alongside epic crawl tunnels, elevated rope bridges, eight slides and wheelchair accessible play equipment! Cool right? The truly special playground is also a celebration of Manchester’s industrial history and influential culture, with six dramatic towers reaching 10-metres high and shaped like chimneys! The area will also be incorporating and honouring nature into its beautiful and unique design. It aims to promote engagement with wildlife and nature with trim trails, stepping posts and balance beams running throughout greenery.

The 6.5 acre park is part of a £1.4billion regeneration of the area and is for all ages and abilities, making fun and adventure accessible for everyone! So who’s up for a trip there? We’ll be counting down the days and months until it opens…
