Laser Q2000
Castlebar, County MayoAbout Laser Q2000
Laser Q2000 Laser Tag is an inspired blend of 'it', hide and seek, and infra red weaponry! Your cool looking but completely harmless gun fires laser beams which register as hits on each others' sensors but have no impact or sensation, making it more than anything else like a living computer game!
Kids as young as 7 can play and this is a great venue to get them started: the arena is futuristically decked out but it's not as intense as some places, with a bit of smoke and darkness being as intimidating as it gets (some of these places are quite terrifying!). They duck and weave around the features trying to see without being seen, and shooting when they spot an enemy. A hit to your own suit deactivates you and you can neither fire nor be fired upon until the suit powers up again, giving you time to scuttle off and hide a bit better!
And remember of course that Q2000 is tucked inside the Mayo Leisure Point, so when you're done with the laser carnage you can avail yourselves of the the other terrific (and weatherproof!) family activities on site, like Nokeys' Adventure Play Land, tenpin bowling with cool glow bowling option, a family oriented arcade with pool tables plus a modern cinema showing the latest releases. And all without getting back in the car! Will you ever leave??
