About Connemara National Park

Connemara National Park covers some 2,957 hectares of scenic mountains, expanses of bogs, heaths, grasslands and woodlands. Some of the Park's mountains, namely Benbaun, Bencullagh, Benbrack and Muckanaght, are part of the famous Twelve Bens or Beanna Beola range so there's some serious exploration available for older active types. Take binoculars, see if you can spot a wild pony! At the visitor centre there is an exhibition on the Connemara Landscape, whilst outdoors one may find nature trails and an adventure playground.
