Attraction Information
Jet Age Museum is a really interesting place to visit, even if you aren't a budding pilot or petrol head, and it's free.
There are a number of planes to investigate, plus several cockpits (including that of a Vulcan bomber!), that have been adapted so you can try out the pilot's seat and experience what it would have been like for them.
Friendly and enthusiastic volunteers who love to share information run the museum, plus there are a number of interesting exhibits to check out. Some of the stories you hear will be told by the people who actually experience them, it will really make you think.
There are also some pretty cool jet engines to take a look at and information about each plane that is on display. Some of the engines are the first of their kind! You will also get an excellent contrast between modern flight and that of a bygone age as the museum is located next to a working airport.
