Attraction Information
BHS approved Halymyres Stables offer a variety of well mannered mounts for lessons, which are available from 4 years upwards. Set opposite the handsome Dunnottar Castle, the main feature of the stables is their new indoor school with pro wax surface but they also have a large 65 x 30 metre rubber, floodlit all weather riding arena.
Scenic hacks and beach rides available, subject to skill assessment. A wide range of horses and ponies are available for lessons and the hacks for beginners all the way up to highly advanced riders. Stable management classes and specialised training courses are available and all teaching staff employed are qualified so this could be a hobby that turns into a career!
Plus they host a recognised Pony Club every Saturday for kids over 4 years old. A great way for kids to get the ownership experience with a little training, a little riding, a little grooming and feeding etc. A good all round experience especially if they're after owning a pony eventually (what kid isn't!?).
