Things To Do At Hazlehead Park
Start your outdoor adventure with a leisurely stroll through the beautiful gardens. From the tranquil formal rose garden, bursting with vibrant colours and heavenly scents, to the whimsical sculptures dotted around the park, there's plenty to admire. Little explorers will love searching for hidden treasures among the flowers, while parents can soak up the serenity of nature. There is also a maze, which everyone can have a go at!
If your kids have the energy to burn (and let's be honest, they probably do!), Hazlehead Park's inclusive play park and children's play area is a must-visit. Equipped with slides, swings, climbing frames, and more, it's a haven for energetic little ones. Plus, there's a golf course too! With plenty of nearby picnic benches available, it makes it easy for parents to relax while keeping an eye on the fun.
Don't forget to visit the mini zoo! You'll be able to meet a collection of animals, from alpacas and meerkats to tortoises and reptiles!
For the sporty kids, they can kick about on the football fields or pitch and putt on the formal golf course! There's loads of scope for organised activities too! The park is also a good spot to relax and enjoy the surroundings, which include a number of lovely flowerbeds, rose gardens, and heather beds.
The park contains a number of heritage items and a variety of sculptures to look at, many of which have been rescued from various parts of the city. Oh, and be sure to visit the Pet's Corner to see a variety of wild animals, including tropical birds and fish, plus small animals such as rabbits and guinea pigs! What more can you ask of a park!?
