Great Orme Golf Course is a wonderful pitch and putt golf course for anyone interested in the great game of golf. Kids as young as 3 can play!
There are 9 nine holes of pitch and putt here with full size greens, so it's a great experience for those already familiar and preferably semi-competent at the game. It's healthy, competitive family fun that keeps the banter and the laughter going, but it really should be noted and mentioned to younger kids that this is Pitch And Putt: rather than a crazy or adventure version of golf, this is every bit real golf in miniature. So although it's very enjoyable, kids going in with the expectation of colourful features and novelty hazards - well, shouldn't go in with that expectation!
For lovers of the game however, it's extremely decent with great views over Llandudno and the option to bring your own putter!
You can extend your adventure further by accessing the golf course via the Great Orme Tramway! Simply catch one from the lower Victoria Station in Church Walks asking for a ticket to Halfway Station and head along Llwynon Road, with the turn off being on the steeper part of the road past the cattle grid. It's not as simple as the family motor we'll admit, but a tram ride, a nature walk and a game of golf? That's pretty fun for kids!
