Finding Alice – A Self-Guided Outdoor Adventure in Llandudno
Make Llandudno your playground and step into a world of curiosity, mystery and adventure with Finding Alice — a self-guided outdoor experience that blends real-world exploration with a digital interactive platform.
This is not a static attraction. It’s not something you watch. It’s something you step into.
The Story
Alice was invited to her Unbirthday Party by the Mad Hatter… but she never arrived.
Now questions are beginning to surface. If she tried to return to Wonderland, the Queen of Hearts may be after her head. If she didn’t make it back at all… then where could she be?
This is where you come in.
As a team of investigators, you are tasked with uncovering the truth. Following a trail of clues, decoding hidden messages and piecing together fragments of information, you’ll explore the town in search of answers.
Every puzzle moves the story forward. Every discovery brings you closer to finding Alice.
How It Works
Finding Alice is a self-guided experience, meaning you play entirely at your own pace, with your team, in your own time.
Using your phone as your guide, a custom-built digital platform leads you through the experience — delivering story, clues and challenges directly to you as you move through the town.
But this isn’t about staring at a screen.
The digital platform is simply your guide. The real experience happens in the world around you.
You’ll be:
Exploring streets, landmarks and hidden corners
Searching for clues embedded in the environment
Solving puzzles and cracking codes
Interacting with physical elements in the real world
Working together to make sense of what’s happening
It’s a seamless blend of digital storytelling and real-world discovery, designed to keep everyone engaged — not just the person holding the phone.
What Makes Finding Alice Different
There are plenty of things to do in Llandudno. But very few that turn the entire town into part of the experience.
The town becomes the game
You’re not confined to a room or a single location. The streets, seafront and hidden corners of Llandudno become your playing field, creating a sense of scale and freedom that traditional attractions simply can’t match.
A story that drives everything
This isn’t a collection of random puzzles. Every challenge exists for a reason. You are following a narrative, uncovering information and progressing through a mystery that unfolds as you go.
A balance of screen and real-world interaction
The digital platform keeps things smooth and accessible, but the focus is always on what’s happening around you — encouraging exploration, observation and teamwork.
Designed for shared experiences
Finding Alice works because it gets people talking, thinking and solving together. It’s just as much about the experience you share as it is about the outcome.
Who It’s For
Finding Alice is designed to be flexible, accessible and enjoyable for a wide range of audiences.
Families
A brilliant way to get children engaged, curious and working together. It encourages problem-solving, teamwork and exploration without feeling like “learning”.
Friends & Couples
Perfect for those looking for something different to do — whether it’s a day out, a date idea or a group activity with a twist.
Visitors to Llandudno
If you want to explore the town in a way that goes beyond the usual tourist experience, this is it. You’ll see places you might otherwise walk straight past.
Puzzle & Escape Room Fans
If you enjoy cracking codes, solving clues and working through challenges, Finding Alice offers that same satisfaction — but on a much bigger, open-air scale.
The Experience
From the moment you begin, you are part of the story.
You’ll follow a trail that takes you across Llandudno, uncovering clues hidden in plain sight and solving puzzles that require observation, logic and teamwork.
Some moments will feel obvious. Others will make you stop, think and look again.
There’s a natural rhythm to the experience — moving between exploration, discovery and problem-solving — keeping both adults and children engaged throughout.
And because it’s self-guided, there’s no pressure. You can take your time, pause when you need to, and enjoy the journey as much as the outcome.
Why People Love It
What makes Finding Alice memorable isn’t just the puzzles or the story — it’s how it makes people feel.
The excitement of uncovering something hidden
The satisfaction of solving a tricky clue
The shared moments of “aha!” as a team
The sense of stepping into a story rather than watching one
It’s an experience that sticks with you because you were part of it.
