Attraction Information
Frinton on Sea Beach, which is sandy and golden when the tide is out, is approached by a wide greensward. On the seawall above runs a mile long promenade, peppered with rows of Victorian style beach huts.
There, intentionally, no modern amusements or traders, creating a deliberate atmosphere of an old fashioned day out, though there are toilets. There's excellent fossil hunting territory at the neighbouring beach called Walton on the Naze, the more common being gastropods and bivalves.
The water is very reasonable and lifeguard patrol July to September. Some areas around the cliffs are restricted for safety and attention should be paid to these signs.
The postcode given is for the local tourist information centre to use with satnav, so please plan your full journey independently.
