This historic beach is famously named after a small, 19th century, defensive fort known as a "Martello Tower". There're plenty of beach huts and a campsite nearby, so it's always lively during the summer.
A lazy day at the beach is a firm family favourite - just unwind and enjoy the sun to the sound of kids playing and waves washing on the shore with a quiet “Woosh”. Want more fun? Take the kids away from Martello Beach for a quick walk and go up to the gardens on the nearby hill. The stunning view from up there makes this quite a popular spot.
