Deep in the heart of the ancient Rockingham Forest, lies Fineshade Wood, one of the largest woodlands in Northamptonshire. It’s the perfect place to escape the big city and take some fresh air in the wild. Get comfy in the hide because there’s lots of wildlife to see - from majestic red kites in the sky, to shy deer peeking through the shrubs.
Got your walking shoes on? Let’s go and explore - there’s a network of trails through the forest that you can discover by foot or by bike. Take your camera and capture some of the fantastic views along the way. Young kids in the group? Follow the A Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon Glow Trail* where you can use the trail app to help Shaun and Lu-La escape Agent Red.
Need a coffee break and a snack? The Fineshade Wood visitor centre welcomes you with a cafe, a cycle shop, and lovely play areas to keep the kids entertained.
