Attraction Information
Features for over 5s at Drumcoura Equestrian Centre include an enclosed round pen for training horses and 6 horse walker, plus the largest indoor riding arena in the County. And you better make time to get off your horse and drink your milk because it's they specialise in Western Riding with qualified instructors and western trained horses! Ideal for kids who already ride and want something different, just as good for beginners!
Outdoors they provide two large riding arenas and purpose built forest trail plus gallops and trekking, so once the family has the hang of the horses, there are options for adventures available! The weekend trail rides are for intermediate and advanced riders only (so no beginners or children under 12 years old!).
It's worth noting if you like a show that the IQHA National Show has been held here every September for 5 years, so chances are if you fancy it you'll have a chance to go this year too! There's an annual The Cowboys and Heroes event been going in recent years too!
There's a Lake Resort with chalet rentals and more on the same site so that would be an ideal base if you're planning a long weekend or similar with a focus on the equestrian side. Ideally situated for those facilities but in scenic surrounds to explore too, this is a great HQ for a family get away.
