Bluebell Dairy
Derby, DerbyshireAbout Bluebell Dairy
At Bluebell Dairy Farm Park, we believe the best family memories are made outdoors, surrounded by animals, laughter, adventure and of course… plenty of homemade ice cream.
Nestled in the heart of Derbyshire, Bluebell Dairy Farm Park is much more than just a farm park, it’s a place where families can spend the whole day making magical memories together, whatever the season. From exciting seasonal events and unforgettable animal encounters to huge play areas and award-winning ice cream, there’s something special waiting around every corner.
One of the things we’re most famous for is our delicious homemade ice cream, freshly made using milk from our very own cows. With over 27 rich, creamy flavours available, plus exciting seasonal specials throughout the year, there’s always something new to try! Guests return time and time again for favourites including Devilishly Chocolate or Rum and Raisins, while seasonal flavours like Pinacolada, Blackberry Crumble or Tiramisu create excitement all year round.
But Bluebell Dairy Farm Park is about so much more than ice cream. Families can enjoy a full day of adventure with indoor and outdoor play areas designed for children of all ages. Little explorers can race around on go-karts, bounce on the giant jumping pillow, climb through adventure play equipment, enjoy tractor rides, visit the indoor play barn, and discover our exciting NEW toboggan sledge area, a thrilling addition that’s already becoming a huge hit with families!
Animal lovers will be in their element with opportunities to meet some truly unforgettable farm friends. Guests can get up close to our adorable animals including goats, sheep, alpacas and Bruno, our llama, rabbits, calves, Highland cows and more. Children love feeding the animals and learning all about life on the farm, creating hands-on experiences they’ll remember long after their visit.
Our famous calf cuddling sessions have become one of the most talked-about experiences on the farm, giving visitors the chance to spend quality time with our gentle calves in a calm and heartwarming environment Lamb bottle feeding is another hugely popular activity, especially during springtime, where children and adults alike can help feed hungry lambs and enjoy a truly special connection with the animals.
Throughout the year, Bluebell Dairy Farm Park comes alive with exciting themed events that bring families back season after season. Spring welcomes the return of our much-loved Choccy Woccy event, packed with chocolate-themed fun, Easter excitement, animal encounters and delicious sweet treats!
Families also look forward to Junior Shepherd Week, where children can step into the boots of a real farmer and experience what it’s like to care for animals on the farm. From witnessing lambs being born to learning about daily farm life, it’s an educational and hands-on experience that children absolutely love.
One of our most popular themed events is Highland Cow Week, a celebration of everyone’s favourite fluffy farm stars! Visitors travel from across the region to meet our beautiful Highland cows, enjoy themed activities, photo opportunities and special Highland-inspired treats. The event has become a must-visit for animal lovers and families alike.
For guests looking for something a little more relaxing, our Highland Cow Afternoon Tea offers the perfect countryside treat. Enjoy delicious homemade food, sweet treats and a peaceful afternoon while spending time near our iconic Highland cows, a truly unique Derbyshire experience.
Bluebell Dairy Farm Park also offers unforgettable adult-only experiences throughout the year. Our hugely popular Lambs & Cocktails evenings combine adorable lamb encounters with delicious drinks and a relaxed social atmosphere. Meanwhile, Cows & Cocktails has quickly become one of our standout and sell-out adult events, giving guests the chance to unwind, enjoy cocktails, meet the cows and experience the farm in a completely different way. These events have become incredibly popular for date nights, celebrations and catching up with friends.
Summer at Bluebell Dairy Farm Park means one thing… MooFest! Our summer festival is packed with non-stop family fun including themed activities, foam parties, water wars, games, outdoor adventures and unforgettable memories. The foam parties in particular have become legendary with families, creating laughter-filled moments children absolutely adore. Best of all, every guest visiting during MooFest receives a FREE return visit, giving families even more value and another excuse to come back for more farm fun!
As autumn arrives, the farm transforms for our famous Halloween celebrations, including our hugely popular torchlit pumpkin picking experience! Families can wander through glowing pumpkin patches under the evening sky, enjoy spooky fun, seasonal treats and magical autumn memories unlike anywhere else in Derbyshire.
Our low-bang fireworks event has also become one of the most popular family events of the year. Designed especially for younger children and those who prefer a more sensory-friendly experience, the event offers all the magic of fireworks without the loud bangs. With dazzling displays, family entertainment and a welcoming atmosphere, tickets regularly SELL OUT every single year.
Then comes Christmas and Bluebell Dairy Farm Park proudly hosts one of the BIGGEST Christmas experiences in Derbyshire. Families can step into a magical festive world filled with twinkling lights, festive characters, seasonal activities and unforgettable moments with Santa himself. It’s become a treasured festive tradition for thousands of families every year and one of the highlights of the Derbyshire Christmas calendar.
Whether you’re visiting for a family day out, an animal experience, homemade ice cream, seasonal event or special celebration, there’s always something exciting happening at Bluebell Dairy Farm Park. It’s a place where children can run free, adults can relax and families can spend quality time together away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
