Halloween Event
The Blackpool Tower Dungeon are delving into Blackpool’s most infamous true crime story this Halloween.
Calling all those enjoying a cosy B&B holiday… Have you heard the story of Alice Burnham? A new bride on Honeymoon in Blackpool, murdered by her husband in a lodging house bathtub. Are you brave enough to try and help Alice cross to the other side?
Enter the Blackpool Tower Dungeon this Halloween; navigate through our graveyard and laugh and scream though our 10 live actor shows. You'll see over a thousand years of REAL-LIFE horror, with stories of plague, torture, witches and for a limited time only, help them ensure Alice is remembered.
The Bathtub Bride is a limited time show alongside the other shows and of course, the DROP DEAD ride. It’s the Dungeons… But a bit more Halloween-y.
The Bathtub Bride is included with standard admission tickets from 28th September to 3rd November.
Things To Do
Journey through this truly unique and exciting walkthrough experience, with 10 interactive shows and a thrilling drop ride. Descend into the heart of the Dungeon in our medieval lift and immerse yourself in 1000's of years of Lancashire’s ‘orrible past. It's the ultimate thrill-filled journey, featuring ten fantastic live shows and a 90-minute tour filled with laughter, screaming, theatre, jokes, history, drop rides, special effects, and a maze!
It's intense, over the top, and bang on the money for the big and brave ones. The shows and fully themed experiences are based on real Lancastrian bloody history and legend. With this amazing experience, you'll get up close and personal with real (ish) sinister characters, including notorious Skippool smuggler Captain Johnson and Alizon Devize, the famous Pendle Witch!
This is the black comedy of attractions; a dark, smelly, noisy place where you can expect to jump out of your skin and laugh your butt off in equal measure. They recommend not bringing under 10s but report that many 10-year-olds enjoy it thoroughly: judge your own kids' tolerances before planning!
Watch gory demonstrations of torture by The Torturer - relax, he's a craftsman... well, he has tools, at least... Familiarise yourself with what human innards look like and find out where the Torturer's 'sensitive side' lies.
Now, be warned that the Dark Chapel is an experience not for the faint-hearted. If you are interested in the Vikings, monks, the Dark Ages and twisted history, this attraction is 100% a winner. You'll learn about elements of history regarding Lancashire in the Dark Ages, how the Great Plague spread across this land and, of course, the dark wraith of God... Remember that the Dark Ages were trying times so that these monks will offer you no sanctuary despite popular belief.
Ding-dong! The plague is knocking at your door. Will you answer? That was a trick question; you have no choice, sorry! Confront one of the world's most tenacious diseases in history in one of the bleakest attractions of the dungeons. Don't worry. You've got the doctor's assistant on your side, right?
With the Blackpool Dungeon experience set in Plague Street in 1349, you'll witness all signs of the Black Death with red crosses on doors, rotting bodies and black rats. This gruesome but fantastic experience offers your family the chance to learn about The in-vogue cures from 1349, Not-so modern anaesthetic, and what those leeches are really for...
As you make your way through the past in this immersive adventure, you'll see, smell and hear the ghastly history of the county, which ends in the eerie Pendle Woods, where you'll be sentenced to death for your crimes of witchcraft on the ultimate Drop Tower Ride to the Death... if you can stomach it.
This exciting walk-through experience brings the darkest history to life with 90-minute immersive experiences and incredible stories. Despite the horror and gore, this really is a family attraction! It is actually one of many dungeon attractions in the UK. You're sure to have a fantastic time and maybe some nightmares, too...
That's all part of the fun, though, right? It's not all doom and gloom; you'll unearth some absolute corkers on your deathly voyage with funny history on the cards, too. The brilliant actors illuminate ancient Britain's dark history, making it an exceptional day out and memorable family activity.
Not to mention, it's a super fun attraction for a unique family fun day out, especially for those looking for an exhilarating, adrenaline-fueled adventure! It's filled with jump scares, but there's no need to explore history with fear because you'll have lots of fun as you discover historical land. So what are you waiting for? Grab your entry tickets now...if you dare!
