Beacon Climbing Centre
Caernarfon, GwyneddAbout Beacon Climbing Centre
Beacon Climbing Centre is an exciting all weather venue, with fun activities suitable for the whole family. It's great fun for kids and the perfect antidote to boring gym regimes for adults!
Humans have been climbing trees to escape from wolves and other scary stuff for thousands of years so don't let modern life supress your natural instinct to climb.
Conquer our high roped walls for an unbeatable sense of achievement, experience the freedom of climbing without using a rope in our low level 'bouldering' area or try something that's entirely off-the-wall: CrazyClimb (for the over 5s) featuring a series of wacky climbing challenges! Have fun and get fit! For the little ones we have a parent-supervised kids' play area with a CrazyMaze for toddlers and crawlers, right next to our cafe but still with a view over the climbing. Healthy food (and of course cakes), and superb coffee are available in the cafe.
The aim is to ascend a climb using only the designated coloured holds. Think of it as join the dots but much more interesting! Choosing the correct sequence of coloured holds and reaching the top is an unbeatable feeling and a really fun workout. Finish tired and very happy!
We provide instructors for CrazyClimb and family sessions, all bookable online!
Family friendly
Instructed sessions suitable for families and individuals (from age 5), including the fabulous CrazyClimb, Climbing Experiences and more advanced courses. Parent-supervised indoor play area (toddler friendly) next to a lovely cafe with views over the climbing wall, and to the mountains outside! Easy, free parking, plenty of toilets, baby changing facilities.
Huge climbing walls!
For the more experienced climbers we have a wide variety of climbing, some of it up to 17m high. Leading, top-roping and bouldering for all abilities, from beginner to advanced.
Our 30th Anniversary in 2024!
With decades of experience and constant reinvestment in the business, Beacon is one of the UK's favourite indoor climbing centres, and the biggest in North Wales.
