Attraction Information
Antony Gormleys Another Place gives you a scenic walk with a different. Definitely something to tell your friends about, artwork by the creator of the Angel of the North.
It has to be seen to be believed, 100 life size men stretching across almost 3km (about 1.8miles) of beach, sunk into the sand and sometimes surrounded by water.
It's pretty cool to look at whatever time of day you go there, but you will be able to see more of them at low tide. It also looks pretty dramatic at sunset and even during a windy storm.
A lovely walk with art as part of the landscape. It is a great place to get inspiration if you are an art fan or want to see something unique and unusual.
The walk is level but be careful as you walk because some of the sand is quite soft. The art is already being changed by nature as it rusts and gets covered in barnacles so it will different every visit.
