Aldenham Country Playground is a purpose built place especially for children and young people with special needs.
This multi-sensory play facility is situated in the heart of Aldenham Country Park in Elstree, Hertfordshire. It features indoor facilities as well as sensory play, adventure and country playgrounds and changing rooms. This secure, community-based safe space is open to families, groups, schools and any other organisations to visit and make use of.
There are separate sensory rooms, which offer both relaxing and stimulating environments with light tunnels, sound and projection equipment all operated from within the room with beanbag chairs for comfort.
Arts and crafts sessions are run in the main hall where there are plenty of toys to play with and an indoor soft play. The space is also used for workshops and free play and has a chill out space for those who want to relax. The changing room is fitted with two hoists, one in the ceiling and a mobile one and is a fully equipped disabled facility.
Parents can be assured that their child is fully catered for in this interactive, supportive and stimulating environment.
