About Walcott Beach
With its beautiful stretch of sand and sloping seawall, the locals see this as a testament to the battle between man and sea. If you ask us though, it’s just a great beach! See for yourself at Walcott Beach (Walcott Gap).
This is a sandy beach with plenty to keep your mini merpeople busy. Team two days out in one and tap your way to victory with a round of crazy golf. It’s a classic for a reason. Water babies can paddle in the shallows or have a properly splashy swim in the sea. This is a great spot for surfing so if you don’t mind getting wet, have a go at hanging ten! Then, take a break from the beach and let your wildlings loose on the nearby amusement arcade.
If you’re planning on making a day of it, hire a deck chair to kick back with and watch the kids play. You could even go all out and hire a beach hut - particularly handy when the rain clouds come a-calling. Oh, and the nearest town to the beach is North Walsham.
