Attraction Information
Woodland Park Equestrian Centre offer friendly and professional riding lessons for the whole family. Experience your first introduction to horse riding, or if you’re a rider already, go for a scenic hike on horseback with the kids. There are acres of beautiful nature surrounding the stables, and the staff will adapt to you abilities and character.
Tots wanting to learn how to ride? The centre offers beginners lessons for kids as young as 4. To determine the perfect pace and size for the young riders, the trainers will take them for an assessment. Your little ones will begin by meeting their new horse, then they’ll walk hand-in-hand with the instructor around the menage, and even will get to experience a bit of trotting. By the end of this experience, the trainers will know exactly what your child needs in their training.
With helmets for hire, all you need to remember is to wear long legs and sleeves, plus smooth boots or shoes (zips or buckles can damage the saddles)...Bring a swimsuit too. Why you ask? Well, Woodland Park Equestrian Centre has a small pool too, in case you fancy a swim after your ride.
