Vale Royal Falconry Centre provides the perfect setting for a fun and educational day out in the countryside for families and friends to experience birds of prey and owls up close and learn about their natural behaviours and habitats. The centre is run by husband and wife Phil and Nanette, who enjoy sharing their passion of the ancient art of falconry.
The centre provides a range of hands on experiences suitable for all ages and provides a perfect venue for children's birthday parties.
With regular flying demonstrations planned throughout the day to show how these talented hunters use their sight to target their next meal and swoop down on their prey, everyone will get an opportunity to see these birds in action. There are also plenty of opportunities to be photographed with these magnificent birds as well as learn more about their individual characteristics.
Children will learn how the male and female owls speak to each other in the dark and discover which one says ‘twit' and which one says ‘twoo' and get to meet ‘Digger' the cutest of burrowing owls who loves to play ‘Peek-a-Boo'. With daily children's competitions, activities and craft Vale Royal Falconry Centre provides a fabulously fun and feathery day out.
