Blakemere Village has plenty to see and do, making it a great place for a family day out, as there is something for everyone, from a number of boutiques set in and around an Edwardian stable block, to a number of cool activities that the kids will love! There is a children's outdoor adventure play park next to the Village Green, which is great for kids aged 2 to 10 years, and may wear the kids out enough that they let you look around a shop that you want to visit!
If you are feeling creative, why not pop to Cheshire Craft workshop, which is a family run and family friendly business where kids can make a pot on the potter's wheel, decopatch, make clay imprints, or make candles to their heart's content! Adults are also welcome to have a go too, as no one is too old to try some artistic fun.
If you fancy meeting some stunning birds of prey, Cheshire Falconry is just up the lane and has a host of amazing birds to see. They offer a number of experiences, where you can put on the gauntlet and fly the birds with the expert falconry team! Cheshire Segways can also be found here, which offer a really fun way to get around, from a 10 minute taster to a 1 hour woodland glide. They offer bush craft and archery too! There is a miniature railway too, which is open most Sundays and free to ride, although donations welcomed for upkeep as this is not a business, just an undertaking by enthusiasts!
There village is open daily, as are most of the shops and activities, but check each individual website for more information. The village itself is free to visit and there is no cost to park either, making this a great destination to have fun, relax, and maybe even do a bit of shopping! There's even a brewery...
