Don’t let the weather stop your little ones from running around and blowing off steam! Take them to Sunderland Aquatic Centre for a huge selection of all-weather facilities, including a 50-metre Olympic pool, diving pool, gym and the kids’ favourite - a three-tier soft play area. The play area is designed for kids under 8 and features designated spaces especially for babies and tots. With lots of climbing, sliding and diving involved, your cheeky monkeys will be busy for a while, so you’re welcome to enjoy a cuppa at the on-site café while they play.
The pool has become extra fun! The Atlantis Mega Inflatable is at Sunderland Aquatic Centre every weekend and during the holidays. This huge inflatable obstacle course will provide loads of thrills, and potentially some spills - and definitely a lot of fun and laughter too! Suitable for children (aged 5+) and adults, so the whole family can have a go!
The soft play area at Sunderland Aquatic Centre is just around the corner from the café, so grab yourself a drink and settle at a table next to the soft play structure while you children clamber and explore. The three-tier structure is sutiable for children up to 8 years old, and there's also dedicated toddler and baby areas.
Sunderland Aquatic Centre stands out from other swimming pools in the area because it's got diving boards at several different levels, and offers a whole host of diving lessons. Perfect for beginners and those who have tried it before. A fab way for kids to try out a new skill once they've become confident in the water.
