With interactive galleries that bring the past to life, explore the history of South Tyneside from its industrial heritage and Maritime splendour, to finding fame with Catherine Cookson and her dramatic tales. The Museum holds free, fun activities for children during the school holidays and even has its own Creature Corner where you can up close to real-life creepy crawlies!
