Snettisham Park
Kings Lynn, NorfolkAbout Snettisham Park
Snettisham Park is 329 acres and offers plenty of family activities fit for royalty!
A highlight here is the Deer Safari Land Rover ride, where either this or a covered tractor trailer will take you out amongst their tame herd of free-roaming red deer, who will usually happily approach to be fed! May, June and July are the best months to spot the babies. The trip takes around 45 minutes and you're guaranteed to see some, and while you can't you'll get a short talk from friendly rangers to help keep you all busy.
This is also a proper working farm with an interactive attitude that welcomes little helpers, so depending on the time of day and season the kids can come and help out handle the small animals, go egg collecting, ride and groom the ponies, and bottle feed little lambs and calves!
Plus there's a great new children's playground on the green by the visitor centre, as well as a grass sledging area, brand new track for the pedal tractors and a smart sand and rock quarry for the smalls to get stuck into. They'd have good company as this is one of Prince George's favourite stops!
There is also a welcoming Visitor Centre with tea room and terrace seating with views over the scenic cattle and sheep pastures providing the grown ups a nice respite from exploring. Family pooches are welcome on a short leash too, so heck: bring everybody!
And just so you know, they've recently refurbished the 5 full electric caravan pitches on site too, so if you're looking to stay in the area why not exited your stay here and you can treat your toast to some of their fresh eggs or Bircham Windmill's sheep cheese for breakfast!
