Join pirates, deep sea divers and maybe a few mermaids at Skegness Aquarium. It’s home to a diverse group of tropical sea life as well as being one of the only three aquariums in UK that offer a ‘Dive with Sharks’ experience. Well worth getting wet for!
Alongside seeing rays, seahorses, sharks and more, the team are in the business of telling tales. Follow the iconic story of Treasure Island within an award-winning themed attraction or walk beneath the waves through Davy Jones’ locker. Kids can even team up and explore Long John Silver’s cabin and meet all the creepy crawlies he encountered on his travels.
Younger kids are well catered for with free face painting and an under 12s soft play area. However, The Wet Lab should be the essential port of call on your list. Visitors can stroke the creatures in touch pool sessions, and learn loads about the British seaside at the same time. Then after one of the daily interactive talks at the Aqua Theatre, wrap it all up with lunch at the Bistro overlooking some glorious sea views.
